It's looking like we are going to have a white Christmas where I live. That is kinda a big deal when you live in the South as it doesn't happen that often. I get to spend the day with my family. All the present are bought and wrapped, can't wait for the big day. I also have a family here on BTSC. Some of you I get along with really well, some I argue with more than not. Some of you are like a dad to me and some are like the Uncle you wanna avoid conversation with. I got a lot of brothers and sisters and at least one momma. We have some kids that like to run around and mouth off. We got a few college grads that try to be sexual intellectuals. You can't say we are in perfect harmony here on BTSC, but what family is? I have really enjoyed getting to know you over these last couple of seasons. I really appreciate this site and the posts, conversations, personalities and friends that make it a cut above all the rest.

I know most of us are disappointed because the team we love missed the playoffs.I am not here to try and brighten your thoughts on the Steelers at the moment. The loss and frustration is too fresh. What I would like for us all to do is quickly brush this game off and truly enjoy our time with our real families the next couple of days. Remember the reason for the season and if that ain't your thing, then truly be present with your family on the day of present giving. It really is better to give than to receive.

As far as the football thing, I encourage everyone to pick another team to cheer for the rest of this season. Of course we will be cheering for the Steelers next weekend. I am saying in addition to that, pick another team and try to cheer them to the SB. To do so, doesn't mean you are disloyal to your team in anyway. Too often in the past, when the Steelers have ended their season, I also ended my viewing of NFL Football for the year. Not this year though, this year, I am going to be hoping and cheering for the Seahawks. Yeah I know, their fans whine a lot. Oh well, I like there Rookie QB and that is who I am going with. I cheered the Giants on last year because the other teams to choose from in the Conference Championship were unacceptable to me for various reasons.The Steelers can't win the SB every year, not matter how much I believe they will. This year is another team's turn and that team will deserve the Ring they get. Go Steelers.

But most of all I wanted to say, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to my family at BTSC. Substitute this for the Christmas Card, I sent each of you, that the mailman somehow lost en-route.
