In case you have missed it in the craziness that usually comes with the Christmas season, the Steelers 2013 Opponents were revealed. The dates haven't been set yet, but nevertheless, we will play this schedule next year:
Home Games:
Away Games:
Baltimore Ravens
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
Minnesota Vikings (in London)
Personally, I have mixed views on this schedule. One one hand, on paper, it looks like probably the hardest schedule in the NFL. It actually might be the toughest schedule the Steelers have seen since 2008. The emotionally fueled pessimistic side of me wants to complain that the Steelers somehow got ripped off here or that the NFL is out to get us (like always). On the other hand, the logical side of me believes that since the Steelers often play to the level of their opponents, this could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. There are no easy wins there. We lost to 3 of the 4 teams (Browns, Jets, Raiders, Titans) who would otherwise be thought of as easy wins. The Steelers are going to have to play at a high level all season long from the get-go if they want to make the playoffs.
