I don't see how the Pittsburgh Steelers can beat the Ravens without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
In fact, I think one of head coach Mike Tomlin's biggest mistakes in the last couple of seasons has been holding on to Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich as backup quarterbacks.
After writing that before the game, Baltimore writer Mike Preston had to write this:
This was an embarrassing loss to an ancient QB.
The Ravens were fortunate that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger didn't play Sunday because the score might have been worse.
It's a tacit admission of something we all know -- had Ben played two weeks ago, the Ravens would be 8-4, tied with the Steelers and down a tiebreaker with a decidedly tougher schedule to play the last four games.
This is how close we are to having a really incredible season. We still may.
