Steeler Nation, I need your help
I apologize for the shameless promotion. Do with it what you will, admins.
My name is Greg. I grew up about an hour south of the city and for the past 2 1/2 years have lived downtown where I go to school. I grew up a Steeler fan (as if it's possible to have a choice) and remain loyal to them to this day. I watch every minute of every game.
While I may not have contributed as much to this forum as elsewhere (baseball, and thus, the Pirates will always be my main focus), I do keep up with the goings on of everything Steelers thanks to this site. While there are a few crazies in every group, the majority on this site have a refreshing outlook on football and provide valuable insight. For that I am truly grateful.
I realize this site stretches pretty fan. While I don't want to give away personal info, but those of you displaced Steeler fans who come to Heinz Field from out of town might recognize me as a I work at a hotel here in the city. I've chatted with fans from all across the country and it's been amazing to see the dedication, especially in the people that live so far away yet I see them again and again.
I come to you guys in need. I am entered to win a contest sponsored by Xfinity to win a job as a sports social media reporter for a year. But I need votes! Below is the link that should lead to the contest. If that link doesn't take you right to me, you can sort the videos by name, and I'm the first one, Greg A. It really only takes a few clicks, but it means the world to me if you all could vote. You can front once per day from now through Sunday. I need all the support I can possibly get!

Thank you Steeler Nation, see you at Training Camp!

I think you'd find a lot more supporters
If you had been a member before posting this today. I personally won’t because I hate liking random crap on facebook and then having it spam my newsfeed. That goes doubly for Comcast Xfinity and their crap service.
Sorry man.

Fair enough
And I’m aware of how shady this looks, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and if It doesn’t work out, I don’t want it to be because I didn’t try everything I could. I’ve been harassing people in the computer labs all around my school to get people to vote and I am definitely not the most outgoing person in the world.

Care to share
a few of your thoughts on the Steelers, first?

Ah the initiation
Fair enough given how shady this looks. Well as far as my personal Steeler experience, my first jerseys were Bettis and Stewart (much to my uncle’s chagrin, but hey, I was young). I remember being very nervous about Tommy Maddox’s injury and the future for the team, but was very reassured on the bus ride the next day from the WDVE hosts touting Ben (my cynical mind chalked it up to rookie luck). Obviously the recent Super Bowls were great. Last year was my first time going out to an actual party for the game. I have since ruled against doing that again. I’ve never seen a game in person (even if I could snag a ticket, I’m usually working for some of the game and walk home during halftime). I did do the 5k run, so I have at least been inside. I hope to go to a game soon, but I want to save myself for a special occasion now like a late season big matchup.
As far as current topics, I’ve soured on Ward (which maybe blasphemy here). It just seems like he makes diving or jumping catches and falls where Brown or someone could make that catch and run. It will be sad to see him go, especially if it’s a bitter breakup, but rings go to the best team, nott the nicest.
I don’t see how offensive line isn’t a priority this offseason/draft, but that may be my football ignorance starting to show. I don’t see how Ben can have the same longevity as some of these other veteran QBs at this rate. I think it’s still too early to be grooming a replacement, but it’s something to think about going forward.

Vote for guts
I was going to vote for you, just because you had the guts to say, that you’ve soured on Ward, on this blog. Only to find that I needed to login to facebook first. Sorry, don’t have a facebook account.
Best of luck though!

Tried to vote.......
Got an error. Will try later on.
Best of luck.
And saying that OL should be a priority for the Steelers isn’t ignorant at all. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t think at least one O-lineman should be taken in the first 2 rounds.
