Al Saunders
Al Saunders is interviewing for the chiefs opening for O.C
I just want to know what you guys think about him for our O.C.
I hope the steelers have him on their list. Ive read his coaching history he seems like a pretty valid
candidate for the job. Do you guys think he's to old, I know some of you want a younger guy with fresh ideas as do I but
Im also willing to go with a guy with tons of experience.
He is rumored to have a massive playbook

Go ask the Redskins fans.
…what they thought of Saunders’ “1000 plays” playbook and how well it worked for them.

But you keep pulling out your "refs-threw-the-game" card if that’s what you need for catharsis. You can use that card after every loss. It is a lifetime pass. Get it laminated. -Maryrose
Nope, ask any of us down here in Shanahan land that question.
Who's laughing now, O Line??? Ben Roethlisberger (from the Podium) to his O-Line and the world in Superbowl XLIII
in all fairness
as someone who was also in the dc metro area during his tenure…
the Redskins organization had a lot of turmoil and he wasn’t even in charge of the whole offense most of his tenure…Joe Gibbs called the running plays and Saunders called passing plays…it was a mess, as is much of the Redskins organization

Such a good movie.
I thought it should have beat No Country for Old Men for Best Picture, but at least DDL got his Best Actor award.
He really was great in that movie
I agree, I thought it was a much better film than No Country for Old Men

Like the last scene when DDL starts firing his gun inside his own house.

Nope not joking
He used to have Daniel Day-Lewis’ character from “There Will Be Blood” as his picture, and the quote in his signature line.
Awesome line, from an awesome movie.

Don't like it.
Ben would have to learn about 100 times the number of plays BA had.
Anyone would do a better job than Arians.
Al would be an upgrade
"Everytime NE Patriots lose, Football wins", myself
That's Cleveland logic...
…anyone would NOT be better than Arians. For all his real, and perceived, faults Arians was very good at identifying and coaching wide receiver talent, and working with Ben; for all the hated bubble screens, remember his bombs, and his crossing plays with Ward, Miller, Brown.
The Steelers need someone who is more balanced in their plan of attack, and someone who adapts to the game as it goes, not sticking to a plan because it works great in the classroom, but takes into account weaknesses (e.g. O Line) with the players on the field and calls plays that caters to their strengths instead.
Saunders claim to fame is his “1,000 plays playbook” which is worthless if the team doesn’t have time to learn it all, and the plays called don’t match the situation in the game.
The Steelers can do much better than Saunders, and will only be trading one scapegoat for another if they ever hired Al.
