On his daily radio show last week , Dan Patrick was talking about Hines Ward retirement from the Steelers . While he did say Hines was a '' GOOD " receiver , he then ended the conversation by saying , not only is Hines not Hall worthy , he doesnt think Hines will ever be inducted . I'd love to know his reasoning on this when you consider the fact that Hines caught over 600 more passes than Lynn Swann . Thats not a typo by the way , you can look it up . On the other side of the coin , he caught more than 400 passes than fellow Steeler great John Stallworth . Both of these guys , Swann and Stallworth were fabulous players and deserved everything they received but to have the audacity to say Hines is not Hall worthy is ludicrous . Hines has not only more catches , but more receiving yards and more touchdowns than either Swann or Stallworth . In addition , I never saw Swann or Stallworth downfield blocking like a madman the way Hines did during his career . As far as Super Bowls are concerned Hines was a multiple Super Bowl winner as well as a Super Bowl MVP . Dan needs to do some explaining on this , because what hes trying to sell , I'm not buying .
