There are alot of good players left on the board. Chances are some of them will fall to the end of the 2nd, so the Steelers may have their choice of several good players at need positions. They could be good players at ILB, NT and OT to choose from. But what about CB Janoris Jenkins? Many teams, including the Steelers, reportedly took Jenkins off their draft boards. Jenkins was dismissed from the Florida program after 3 arrests: 2 for marjuana, and 1 for a bar fight. He has had 4 children with 3 different women. That is not exactly the kind of character that the Steelers usually go for. However, at what point does Jenkins become a risk worth taking? Jenkins is widely considered as one of the most talented CB's in this year's draft class. A team can never have enough talented CB's in the pass-heavy NFL, and Jenkins has #1 CB potential. At this point, the Steelers are playing with house money after getting DeCastro in the 1st. Jenkins would be a huge risk at the end of the 2nd. However, if there is a run on some of the good players available, I would rather the Steelers take a chance on a talented kid like Jenkins as opposed to reaching for a less-talented player. What do you think?
