Redman, Batch, Dwyer, Rainey, Mendenhall

Hey Steelers. I had a couple questions about your backfield going into 2012.

Isaac Redman is the obvious answer for starting RB going into the year. Does anyone think Mendenhall will make a recovery and regain his starting job by Week 1? If no, what week to expect a Mendenhall return, if any?

Baron Batch did not get a chance to play last year but was looking to take over the #2 role in the backfield. What do you expect from Batch after his injury and signing of Rainey, will he even make the roster?

John Dwyer is just like Redman, except in the one game Mendenhall went down last year, Dwyer and Redman split carries, and Redman was SHUT DOWN while Dwyer was running all over the place. What do you attribute that to and do you think Dwyer may have a shot to be the #1 back over Redman?

Chris Rainey. This is the guy I really want to know about. I have been reading that he will be the "Dexter McCluster" role in Todd Haley's offense. I also read that Batch could come back and be that guy for Haley, or Haley may use both in that sense. What does this mean for the Steeler's backfield? Will Rainey or Batch be drawing carries away from the heavier backs? will they be used primarily in the short passing game and not in the traditional sense like a Darren Sproles?

The Steelers have Wallace, Brown, and Sanders as their top 3 receivers now. All young, small, explosively fast studs. Do you think Todd Haley is going to work in Chris Rainey and Baron Batch to that group and have a very quick offense, with a deadly passing attack? Or will he not shy too far away from Steeler ground and pound football?
