I'm sure most of you are like me always looking for new tweeks to the system. Recently I ran across a program I've been running for a month now from Orbit called "Advanced System Care"... like most of the free software available, there is a "pay" to upgrade option which I'm not subscribing too, but I do find the basic free version quite helpful for cleaning up lots of system operation stuff. Included are things like disk defrag(which I think works quite well and much faster then previous options Ive used) registry defrag, vulnerability fix ( which actually sweeps your system for any needed Vista security updates and installs them) as well as a bunch of other assorted malware, security and other fix items, it even runs a boot scan when needed, something Norton doesn't offer.... If your a gamer, there are internet boost and gamer boost features that can be downloaded.. Ive not tried this as first tier virus protection having Norton, but for a secondary computer maintenance program I've been quite pleased with its performance.. please note if you decide to download it, you might want to disable some features, such as surfing protection and auto care, for me running more then one surf protection software only results in slowing my system down, and having it auto care at times I felt cumbersome at atart up and such, but on a whole I've been pleasantly surprised how efficent this free software is.... have a look, decide for yourself.. the most recent version is Advanced System Care 6, and along the way downloading, you'll be pronpted to add Game boost etc... enjoy your day
