Courtesy of Mark Kaboly of the Tribune-Review, here are all of the Steelers' cuts made Friday, getting down to their 53-man roster.
OL Trai Essex (Waived/Injured List)
PJeremy Kapinos (Waived/Injured List)
DBs Damon Cromartie-Smith, Terrence Frederick, Josh Victorian
LBs Brandon Hicks, Marshall McFadden
DL Corbin Bryant, Igbinosun Ikponmwosa, Jake Stoller
RB DuJuan Harris
WRs Tyler Beiler, Toney Clemons, David Gilreath, Marquis Maze, Derrick Williams
OLs Ryan Lee, John Malecki, Chris Scott.
So there it is.
With the final roster set, our attention will turn to the practice squad, in which many of these players will find themselves. There will probably be at least two wide receivers on the practice squad, considering the Steelers kept six running backs on the active roster, and assuming they do not sign a veteran for the position, there isn't any other internal depth at the position, except Hines Ward, who likely isn't going to play this season.
