Great win for our Steelers this past weekend, opening their home season with a decisive 27-10 performance over the New York Jets. Many of those who were running for the hills after the opening loss to the Broncos have come back out of hiding again to realize things aren't all that bad.
For the past weeks game, congratulations to slatedog57 for being the closest to predicting the score, his prediction of 27-13 being a mere 3 points off the correct result.
Narrowly beaten out by 1 point was myself, predicting a score of 28-13, and rounding out the top 3 for the week, and more impressively being in the Top 3 in predicting for 2 weeks in a row, SteelCityRoller, being just 6 points off the score, and earned himself a share of 1st place, with last weeks winners NCSteeler and AV23.
Leaderboard after the jump.
1st=: NCSteeler - 4 points
1st=: AV23 - 4 points
1st=: SteelCityRoller - 4 points
4th: slatedog57 - 3 points
5th: Michael Hewitt - 2 points
6th: LifeLongSteelerFan - 1 point
Can SteelCityRoller make it three weeks in a row? Will we have a unanimous leader after Week Three? Competition is heating up and it is only Week Two. There is still plenty of time to get on the board.
Week Three, the Steelers travel west to Oakland, where we have not fared well in recent memory, the horrors of that 2006 campaign still haunt me when I think of playing at the Black Hole.
The Raiders, coming off a terrible performance against the Miami Dolphins, look to rebound, as the Steelers wish to ride the hot hand of Ben Roethlisberger, as well as the legs of Dwyer and Redman, who will look to take advantage of a team that gave up 200+ yards of rushing to Reggie Bush and co.
