Steelers Players Change Numbers For 2012 Season

Robert Golden and Adrian Robinson may now be No. 21 and No. 57 in your program, but they're...well, I don't know where they rank in your hearts. The No. 91 on the other hand may rank very highly in your hearts (as worn by DE Aaron Smith from 1999-11), but it's the new number for LB Brandon Johnson.

Multiple sources confirmed those number changes, and they will be in effect in Week 1.

Golden, previously No. 30, will wear No. 21, which was vacated by RB Mewelde Moore, who wore the jersey from 2008-11.

Robinson noted on Twitter he tried to get No. 91, but:

He'll take No. 57 instead, which was last worn by LB Keyaron Fox in 2010.

It's likely all three of them will dress for Sunday's Week 1 game at Denver, to, at the very least, participate on special teams.
