As The Greats Hang Up Their Cleats

Love him or hate him, one thing no one can take away from him is Ray Lewis was a damn good football player. There's no love lost between Steeler and Ravens fans and we'll never quite put Ray in the category as Jack Lambert (as I adjust my Black and Gold glasses) but make no mistake: Ray Lewis played old school football the way even the most die hard Steeler fans like to see it played. Personally, I don't know Ray Lewis and probably wouldn't intentionally go to an autograph signing of his, but I will tell you this, watching him play for the last 17 years was pretty special. I have nothing but respect for most of his playing career. (minus that cheap H2H shot on Hines last year of course.) As you retire Mr. Lewis, I wish you peace and happiness and please... no Favre-ing around. You said it; now just do it.
