This just came in today at 10:54 am thanks to a confirmation from NFL.com's Ian Rappaport. The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly requested permission from the Steelers to interview Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley for their newly opened Head Coaching position after former Steelers OC Ken Whisenhunt was fired on Monday.
The only reason why I see them wanting to do this would be because that Haley has had familiarity with the Cardinals (being OC there for Super Bowl XLIII against the Steelers). His recent performances haven't provided much merit to be given a Head Coaching job. There have also been a lot of significant buzz around Andy Reid possibly going there and it seems real enough to me that it is very, very, likely.
I know right now that their are plenty of spoiled doom-and-gloomers that have popped up recently on here that are SCREAMING for this to happen so we can hire Ken Whisenhunt back as our OC. However, I don't know if switching OCs again is the best choice right now. Todd Haley isn't the problem IMO as a lot of ignorant people on here claim it to be. What is the problem however, is a discussion for a different Post.
