If nothing else, the Steelers are showing they'll stick with the neverending process of roster rehabilitation.

Or at least fostering the potential growth of it.

The Steelers announced former Carolina Panthers linebacker Kion Wilson has been signed to a future's deal after missing the 2012 season.

Wilson, an undrafted free agent in 2010, played eight total games from 2010-11 for the San Diego Chargers and Carolina Panthers, respectively. He has logged six career tackles.

The team signed its seventh player this offseason to a reserve/future's contract, which essentially means the team holds that player's exclusive rights through the offseason (a practice squad for non-playing months). None of the players the Steelers signed to future's deals last year ended up making the 53-man roster at the end of training camp, including quarterback Jerrod Johnson, offensive guard John Malecki and linebacker Marshall McFadden.

Wilson is the seventh player the Steelers have signed to future's deals this offseason, including defensive backs Isaiah Green and Ross Ventrone, offensive linemen Justin Cheadle and Joe Long and wide receivers Derek Moye and Bert Reed.
