First off I made this a fanshot as I am not quite sure how to make a fanpost. The "New Fanpost" button didn't work for me. I also added the link to my favorite website so please let me know if this is not an acceptable way to post this. Now on to the main course. Hello fellow fans of the Worlds Best professional football team. I have just joined the community after reading for close to a decade. I want to give everyone a little back round on myself as i would like to participate in the well written and almost always entertaining discussion that take place here at Behind the Steel Curtain. I'm 22 years old and have not been a fan of football my whole life like many of the people on this site. But I will say this, the Steelers were my first and only favorite team. I became a Steelers fan in Ben's rookie year and really during the playoffs. Even though I wasn't a fan for very long that heart breaking loss to the Pats in the AFC Championship game was crushing to me. With that said watching the Steelers Defense take the field that year and literally dominate the opposing offense every week was really made me a fan. I fell in the love with the characters of that defense because at the time i really didn't know much about football in general let alone defensive concepts. But the leaders and play makers on that defense like Joey Porter, James Farrior and Aaron Smith were sure fun to watch along with this second year long haired maniac running around the field by the name of Polamalu. I most likely will not contribute much in the way well written articles as I don't think my grammar is at a level high enough to contribute to such a well written and managed site like this one. I do plan on chiming in on the discussions. I hope this doesn't turn anyone off on how they view me as a fan. I have learned a great deal about football and the Steelers while reading the articles on this site so I wanted to thank everyone for that as they have only allowed my love of the Steelers to grow enormously over the years. So thank you again and as always GO STEELERS!
