DeCastro hurt his ankle in the team's 21-18 loss to Oakland in Week 8. He played approximately two-thirds of the team's offensive snaps, and he played well, despite the team's lack of success in the running game.
Pittsburgh (2-5) doesn't need more reasons to be doubted in this game. Its offense is struggling, and one more sub-20 point performance would mark its fourth straight tread into that territory, the longest such streak for the team since 2004.
DeCastro has been one of the few bright spots on the team. The first round pick of 2012 only had three starts last season due to a knee injury, but justified his highly anticipated selection in 2013.
Veteran Guy Whimper is expected to take his place at right guard. Whimper was injured against Oakland as well but he's listed as probable on the team's injury report.
