It was nice to see Ben operate the no-huddle last week against the Lions. He looked comfortable, as he should have been. It seemed as though the no-huddle prevented the lions from sending pressure outside of their front four, which gave Ben the time he needed to find his receivers. Speaking of the receivers, AB got some nice YAC that he should be getting with those short routes.
I like how this version of the no-huddle is not a hurry-up offense, but still has the threat to go to the hurry-up. That, along with some balanced play calling seemed to keep the Lions off balance. Granted, 45 passes-27 rushes isn't an exact balance of the run and pass, but we still tried to run the ball and the Lions had to take that into account. Overall, this is a nice wrinkle to our offense that I would like to see more of going forward.
What do you think?
