DeCastro, Polamalu highlight Steelers grades from Pro Football Focus

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

Injury-free and playing in their usual positions have fared well for both DeCastro and Polamalu this season. It shows in their production on the field.

Any sign of injury from David DeCastro was well-hidden behind another outstanding performance.

The Steelers right guard had one of his finest all-around performances in Sunday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Pro Football Focus, a football plays evaluation web site.

They gave DeCastro a 4.0 grade, the highest among all Steelers' offensive players. He was joined closely by right tackle Marcus Gilbert, who had a 3.6 grade, as the Steelers allowed just their second sack of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in their last five games.

Safety Troy Polamalu played safety more than linebacker (which he's been doing frequently over the last several games) and rewarded the Steelers with another strong game. His 4.2 grade led all Steelers, finishing the game with five tackles and a forced fumble.

Tight end Matt Spaeth had the worst grade among the team, notching a -4.8 after a tough outing in run blocking. Center Cody Wallace had his second negative game in two starts, picking up a -3.0. Both Wallace and Spaeth made their first significant contributions of the season in Week 14.
