I'm annoyed. Here we are at a cross rounds, in position to make the playoffs. We dug ourselves out of an impossible to get here. The team a few months ago didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. The team that went 0-4, lost to the raiders, and got killed by the pats didn't deserve to make the playoffs. The team that beat the lions, bengals, packers, browns, and fought tooth and nail against the ravens deserved to go.
And now after all this adversity, our season may or may not rest in the hands of a giant red tomato somewhere in Kansas City. It just feels unfair. I'd rather have us lose than win and find out the chiefs didn't care about actually giving themselves momentum. I find resting starters to be a pointless process. Nobody actually knows if it works. Some analysts even think that a playoff team having a bye week can actually have a negative impact( when was the last time a bye week seed won the SB?) Nowadays it's about getting hot. You lose momentum not being used to playing for some players. Andy Reid talks about how he's done it before and look how much jewelry he has. Zero.
It's especially unfair for Bell. If not for Brown, I'd give him MVP just for pure heart.
I understand that its Christmas and miracles do happen. I trust in god, just not the chiefs backups.
