There have been many opinions on who the Steelers should draft this year...here is my MOCK draft...
Round 1- Matt Elam, SS, Florida- This guy plays with a lot of heart and is a big-hitter. He is a perfect strong safety that can also excel in pass coverage. He would be a perfect successor to Polamalu.
Round 2- Alex Okafor, DE, Texas- A playmaker that has great size and athleticism. He can solve a big issue that the Steelers have been facing; getting to the quarterback. He would be a great boost to the defensive line.
Round 3- Phillip Thomas, FS, Fresno State or Sean Porter, OLB, Texas A&M- Both great players that can fill draft needs and can add great value to team.
Round 4- Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech or Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State- Rogers, although had character issues, is a great receiver and route runner. Although he is not as fast as Mike Wallace, he will still be a big threat in the passing game. Bell is a big running back that is known for yards after contact. He is a great back, but needs to improve out of the backfield.
Round 5- Alvin Bailey, Arkansas, OG or A.J Klein, Iowa State, ILB- If Ramon Foster and Ramon Foster get cut, that leaves Kelvin Beachum to be projected to start at left guard. It would be interesting to see a competition for the starting role between Bailey and Beachum. Bailey has a big upside and a lot of potential to be a great guard. Larry Foote had a great year at ILB for the Steelers this year, but he is on the wrong side of 30. They can pick up A.J Klein, a great prospect that has great skills to be a good linebacker next to Timmons.
Round 6- Tyrann Mathieu, LSU, CB- There are many things you can say about the honey-badger. He is a very versatile player that can add depth to cornerback and be a great return man. Everybody knows his issues off the field, but the Steelers should take a gamble on this guy.
Round 7- A QB prospect or another pass rusher
