My Dream Mock Draft

Stay connected for news and updates

I saw a guy with a similar format, but here is my twist. Although this is not totally realistic, here is my mock draft. I'm just having fun with this so here it is...

First we would need to trade back. In this case we trade with St. Louis back to the 22nd pick in rd 1 and pick up a 3rd and give up a 5th. We then trade back from the 22nd to the early second, in this case with Philadelphia. We pick up an extra third doing so. To receive additional picks, the Steelerscan trade James Harrison to Jets for an additional third round pick this year and in 2014.

2nd rd, 4th pick) Eric Reid, FS, LSU- This guy is a true ball-hawk who would be a great center fielder for the Steelers. He is also very aggressive and can be dominant against the run. An all-around great safety prospect that would be the successor to Ryan Clark.

2nd rd, 17th pick) DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson- The team needs somebody to replace Mike Wallace and who can go up and get the ball. He is also a very good route runner and would fit perfectly in the Steeler's offense. Great pick Mark!!

3rd rd, 4th pick) Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida International- His stock has been rising and as of right now, I still believe he is a 3rd round pick. He is a strong hitter and a playmaker. Him and Reid will be a dominant duo for years to come.

3rd rd, 10th pick from Jets) Khaseem Greene, LB, Rutgers- Greene was the Big East defensive player of the year this year and will be a great linebacker for the Steelers. He can play in the inside or on the outside.

3rd rd, 16th pick) Sean Porter, OLB, Texas A&M- His style of play is being compared to Von Miller and can be a steal in this part of the round. Although he is not the biggest, many believe that he will have more leverage against the bigger offensive tackles. He can potentially replace James Harrison and be a valuable player on defense.

3rd rd, 17th pick) Kyle Long, OG, Oregon- He would be a perfect starting left guard for the Steelers and because of his athleticism, he would be perfect in the new ZBS.

4th rd- Best TE available

6th rd- Kenjon Barner, RB/KR, Oregon- This guy is a burner and would be a great 3rd down back. He would also fill a big need on special teams.

7th rd- BPA
