OMG!!!! The Steelers had one 8-8 season. I don't know how on earth they are going to recover from this! Maybe they should cut everyone and get a new philosophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Colbert's Waterloo! Mike Tomlin is the same as Raheem Morris. Lockerroom fracturing!!!
Are you as sick of reading this as I am? Maybe instead of thinking that the Steelers are in a lot of trouble and are going to have to get rid of all sorts of talent that they would like to keep and change their philosophy and fire Colbert and Tomlin, the Steelers will just have a normal offseason.
This will include getting rid of some guys who aren't that good anymore, losing one guy who is really good (Wallace) but who wants more money than the Steelers want to pay, and drafting a bunch of talented players. They will probably even sign a few under the radar free agents like any other normal year.
This formula has worked for the last 30 years or so with only a couple of down seasons since the end of the Noll era. I don't know why, but lately it seems like everyone is predicting this crazy turnover of the Steelers roster and management. When in reality, nothing big is going to happen. It will be business as usual. And next year the Steelers will likely be in the playoff and Super Bowl hunt just like every other year.
