Not long ago it was proposed on BTSC that the Steelers would bring in a QB to push Ben. I thought this was the most ridiculous of ideas. First, Ben is a Franchise, 2 Time SB Champion who is his prime. Secondly, I didn't see where they could find somebody in the Draft or FA who would be capable of pushing Ben. I interpret push to mean, if you slack off and don't perform, this guy could take your job. Who would be capable of providing this push, that might be available and the Steelers could possibly afford. Then it dawned upon me. MICHAEL VICK.

Michael fits the mold of whom the Steelers have been implementing as backups. Used to be a starter but is unlikely to get many chances of being a starter in the future. Has talent to play at a fairly high level. Would like a SB Ring to validate his career. I also "heard" that Tomlin was wanting to bring in Michael when he got out of prison but Mr. Rooney nixed the idea. Would Michael be willing to accept a backup role? Would the Rooney's consider it? What do you think? Pleas don't throw any stones, but eggs and tomatoes are acceptable.
