Say what you must, but the Steelers only problem and has been for the last 4 years is injuries. Since 2009, we have been injury prone. The Steelers went into Superbowl 45 injured, people may say, so did the Packers; but it's a big difference losing players at the beginning of a season than losing players through out the season. You can adjust and recover from early injuries versus every game losing players; key players. If the Steelers ever go through a season with minimal injuries, they will win the Superbowl hands down.
Every season since 2009, we have lost five key players to injury every year. Even if they made it back, it still didn't make a difference; the recovery time was short and they were not 100%. Prime example, BEN!!! He was hurt in every year including 2008.
This year same thing. The one amazing thing though, is the defense still manage to be the best. The offense underachieved, partially due to injuries and new coordinator. But mainly due to lack of leadership. We are still a championship caliber team, regardless what ESPN may think.
The Baltimore Ravens built that team to beat us! They feel that if they beat the Steelers, they can beat anybody. They don't have problems beating the Colts, Patriots, or any team like that. They just have a problem beating us, especially in the playoffs, but if we aren't there; they feel nobody can stop them. Case in point, this year! Actually, last year as well, but a drop ball kept them out of the big game. My opinion, we will be back in the Superbowl again before they are!
