1. Kansas City (2-14) - 2WR, DE, ILB, OG, CB, OLB, C, FB, RB - Shariff Floyd, defensive tackle, Florida - Floyd's stock was rising before the Combine and he backed it up with an impressive performance at the Combine. With the Chiefs trading for 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, the position is no longer a need. While Floyd would not fill an immediate hole, he would give the Chiefs an additional defensive linemen that they could pair with Dontari Poe.
2. Jacksonville (2-14) - QB, DE, CB, RT, 2 OLB, OG, DT, C, WR, RB - Barkevious Mingo, defensive end, LSU - Mingo had a decent Combine but the real reason his stock is up is because of what the Jaguars said at the Combine, hinting that they want to target a LEO defensive end. That would leave them with Mingo and Dion Jordan as options and I have Mingo rated slightly above Jordan.
3. Oakland (4-12) - 2DT, 2CB, OLB, ILB, DE, RT, QB, TE, OG, P - Dee Milliner, cornerback, Alabama - The Raiders could go in a ton of directions here but in today's passing league, you need a lockdown corner and Milliner would give the Raiders exactly that. He blew up the combine, running a sub 4.4 40-yard dash and showed that he has elite athletic ability to pair with his elite film.
4. Philadelphia (4-12) - OT, CB, S, OLB, DT, C, TE, WR, P - Luke Joeckel, offensive tackle, Texas A&M - The Eagles get to match their biggest need with the best player available. Joeckel came in slightly below his listed weight at the Combine but he is still an elite tackle that will make a big impact right away.
5. Detroit (4-12) - DE, S, CB, OLB, WR, OG, OT, RB, C, P - Ezekiel Ansah, defensive end, BYU - The Lions need an athletic, pass rushing defensive end and Ansah is the best one available. He is a physical freak who is capable of playing 3-4 OLB despite being 270 plus pounds. He will give the Lions a pass rushing threat on the outside to pair with Suh at defensive tackle.
6. Cleveland (5-11) - Rush LB, WR, CB, OG, DE, ILB, TE, FB - Dion Jordan, defensive end, outside linebacker, Oregon - The Browns are switching defenses again, this time back to a 3-4. To have a good 3-4 defense you need elite pass rushers at the outside linebacker spots and Jordan will give them a potentially elite pass rusher. He has the athletic tools needed to dominate but needs to refine his technique.
7. Arizona (5-11) - QB, OT, Rush LB, RB, ILB, CB, S, OG, DE - Eric Fisher, offensive tackle, Central Michigan - The Cardinals could go a bunch of ways here but the best player available is Fisher. No matter who is the quarterback next year for the Cardinals, he will struggle to succeed if they don't improve their offensive line. Fisher has flown up draft boards already and could potentially go earlier than this.
8. Buffalo (6-10) - QB, CB, WR, ILB, DE, S, OG, FB, P - Geno Smith, quarterback, West Virginia - The Bills luck out, with the top quarterback in the draft falling right into their laps. Smith has tremendous athletic ability, running a 4.56 40-yard dash and also has phenomenal accuracy. He fits the mold of what the Bills new coaching regime wants in a quarterback and should be able to come in and start immediately.
9. New York Jets (6-10) - QB, RT, Rush LB, S, RB, WR, ILB, OG, TE - Sheldon Richardson, defensive end, Missouri - Defensive end is not much of a need for the Jets but Richardson is the best player available and would give the Jets bookend pass rushing threats in their 3-4 defense. He is a physical freak who can blow by offensive tackles and he could be gone in the top five, so this is a steal.
10. Tennessee (6-10) - 2S, 2OG, CB, C, DE, TE, RB, FB, LB - Chance Warmack, offensive guard, Alabama - The Titans could go a bunch of ways here but the best player available is easily Warmack and he fills a huge need for the Titans. If the Titans ever want their franchise back to get back to dominating, they need to improve both guard spots and a dominate run blocking guard like Warmack would help him tremendously.
11. San Diego (7-9) - 2OT, OG, CB, Rush LB, ILB, RB, WR, S, TE - Lane Johnson, offensive tackle, Oklahoma - Johnson is the best athlete in this draft class and he is also a pretty good football player as well. He blew up the Combine and cemented himself as a top 12 pick. He could go as high as 7 to the Cardinals so this is good value for the Chargers and he will help protect the Chargers franchise quarterback, Philip Rivers.
12. Miami (7-9) - WR, 2CB, DT, TE, DE, FS, RB, LB, OG - Cordarelle Patterson, wide receiver, Tennessee - Patterson came into the Combine as the No. 1 receiver in the class and the Combine only furthered that point of view. He is an athletic freak at 6-foot-2, 216 pounds but he needs to improve his hands. However a team with a young quarterback like Ryan Tannehill has to try and surround him with weapons.
13. Tampa Bay (7-9) - 2CB, TE, DT, OLB, OT, WR, RB - Desmond Trufant, cornerback, Washington - Trufant's stock has been soaring and the Combine only furthered in that. He showed that he was one of the best athletes in the entire class and he will likely go off the board in the mid first round. The Bucs are desperate for corners and Trufant could come in right away in Schiano's man scheme.
14. Carolina (7-9) - 2DT, CB, FS, RT, OG, WR, P, K, LB - Star Lotulelei, defensive tackle, Utah - Lotulelei was the top prospect in the class before the Combine, where a scary heart condition prevented him from working out. If he gets that cleared up and impresses at his Pro Day, his stock will rise again. For the Panthers, a team desperate for interior defense, they would gladly snatch him up here.
15. New Orleans (7-9) - NT, OLB, 2S, DE, 2OT, CB, ILB, WR - Arthur Brown, outside linebacker, Kansas State - Brown's stock has been on the rise and the Combine further cemented him as someone worthy of a top 20 pick. He bulked up to 240 pounds and kept his elite athleticism. He has great instincts and will be able to make a huge impact at inside linebacker in the Saints new 3-4 defense.
16. St. Louis (7-8-1) - OT, FS, WR, OLB, OG, TE, DT, RB, DE - Kenny Vaccaro, free safety, Texas - Vaccaro did not have a very impressive Combine but he is still a great football player with big upside. He can do-it-all at safety and will be a huge upgrade over anything the Rams have on their roster right now.
17. Pittsburgh (8-8) - Rush LB, WR, S, NT, RB, ILB, DE, TE, OT, OG, QB, P - Damontre Moore, defensive end, outside linebacker, Texas A&M - Moore had perhaps the worst Combine of any player in the draft and his stock will likely suffer because of it. However, on film, he is the best DE in this class and with the Steelers playing more and more four man fronts, Moore could be a situational pass rusher for now as he learns the outside linebacker position.
18. Dallas (8-8) - OG, C, S, DE, DT, RT, OLB, RB, CB - Jonathan Cooper, offensive guard, North Carolina - The Cowboys don't have many choices here that make sense and Cooper is the best player on the board. He would be a massive upgrade at guard and would start on day one for the Cowboys.
19. New York Giants (9-7) - RT, LB, CB, DE, OG, DT, TE, WR - Bjoern Werner, defensive end, Florida State - Werner came into the Combine as a top 7 to 8 pick but with players like Mingo, Jordan, and Ansah impressing so much, his stock fell because of that. The Giants would be glad to snatch him up right here and plug him in as a pass rusher right away.
20. Chicago (10-6) - OT, LG, 2LB, TE, DT, WR, CB - Tyler Eifert, tight end, Notre Dame - Eifert had a very good Combine, showing plus athletic ability and also because Zach Ertz had a poor combine. Eifert is clearly a top 20 prospect and would give the Bears a dynamic, matchup nightmare at tight end.
21. Cincinnati* (10-6) - RB, 2OLB, S, DE, C, CB, WR - Corneillius Carradine, defensive end, Florida State - Carradine stole the show at the Combine, posting incredible numbers. He was also Florida State's best defensive end on film and his stock could soar now. The Bengals could use another defensive end and he fits the range.
22. St. Louis - from Washington* (10-6) - OT, WR, OLB, OG, TE, DT, RB, DE - D.J. Fluker, offensive tackle, Alabama - Fluker is a phenomenal right tackle prospect that would be a dramatic improvement over what the Rams currently have. He is a dominate run blocker and an above average pass blocker and will improve the chances of Sam Bradford ever becoming a star.
23. Minnesota* (10-6) - WR, MLB, OLB, DT, OG, S, CB, QB - Kevin Minter, inside linebacker, LSU - The Vikings could go a bunch of ways here but the best option is Minter. Minter is the second best inside linebacker in this class (behind Brown) and has great instincts, size, and good enough athleticism to be very good. He would likely start from day one for the Vikings.
24. Indianapolis* (11-5) - RT, CB, NT, Rush LB, 2OG, DE, FS, WR, RB - Johnathan Hankins, nose tackle, Ohio State - Hankins came into the Combine as a top 15 prospect but did not impress at all. He was over weight and unathletic but for a 3-4 team, the Colts won't need him to do anything but eat up blockers.
25. Seattle* (11-5) - DT, WR, RT, DE, OG, LB, TE - Kawann Short, defensive tackle, Purdue - Short and the Seahawks are almost a perfect fit as he provides great value, scheme fit, and fills a need. Short will give the Seahawks a much needed pass rushing threat at defensive tackle.
26. Green Bay* (11-5) - C, RB, WR, Rush LB, OT, TE, S, K - Jarvis Jones, outside linebacker, Georgia - Jones stock fell even further at the Combine because a few doctors did not clear him for certain things. However, the Packers would be willing to take a chance on pairing him up with Clay Matthews to form one of the best combinations of outside linebackers in the league.
27. Houston* (12-4) - WR, ILB, RT, OG, FS, Rush LB, FB - Tavon Austin, wide receiver, West Virginia - The Texans desperately need a number two receiver and Austin would give them the type of receiver they don't have. Austin blew up the Combine, cementing himself as a first round prospect.
28. Denver* (13-3) - DT, ILB, S, RB, CB, WR, OG - Matt Elam, strong safety, Florida - The Broncos need upgrades all over the defensive side of the ball and Elam is the best prospect left on defense. He would likely be able to replace Rahim Moore right away and make sure Broncos fans never have to see him on the field again.
29. New England* (12-4) - 2WR, DT, CB, DE, S, OL, LB - Keenan Allen, wide receiver, California - The Patriots will likely make a run at Steelers unrestricted free agent Mike Wallace but should they fail to sign him, they will likely look for a receiver early in the draft. Allen runs great routes and never drops anything and would fit in well in the Pats offense.
30. Atlanta* (13-3) - 2DE, RB, LB, DT, OG, TE, LT, SS, CB, WR - Margus Hunt, defensive end, SMU - Hunt is an athletic freak who showed as much at the Combine. The Falcons are desperate for defensive ends and would be able to coach Hunt up into a potential animal.
31. San Francisco* (11-4-1) - FS, SS, WR, CB, Rush LB, NT, DE, C, OT, TE - Xavier Rhodes, cornerback, Florida State - The 49ers one weakness is their secondary, which needs upgrades at all three spots. Rhodes is a phenomenal man cover corner, the type of defense the Niners likes to play. He is great value here and would possibly be able to start on day one.
32. Baltimore* (10-6) - ILB, WR, LT, FS, NT, Rush LB, CB - Alec Ogletree, inside linebacker, Georgia - Ogletree is a phenomenal athlete but a big character concern. However, the Ravens have proven to be willing to take chances on bad character players in round one and he would fit in great in the Ravens defense.
