Welcome to what's believed to be the first open thread created off a cell phone in BTSC history. That's really not a shining achievement, just more of an extended streak of technical consistency.
Not SteelCityRoller's bugged and cursed phone, mind you, but mine.
Whats the special occasion, you ask? Oh, nothing, except the six inches of snow being dumped on the greater Minneapolis area right now has managed to knock out the power to my house. And to think of all the times I ripped on you East Coasters for losing power during snowstorms.
You get the last laugh as I get to suffer through the fourth Last Storm of the Year.
Here's what's important today. We've got positive feelings from a positive draft. It's the solid-if-not-spectacular kind of draft that reminds me a lot of 2002 - arguably the best draft of the Colbert Era. Simmons, starter. Randle El, starter. Hope and Foote, starters. That's not even a prediction, it's almost a guarantee Jones, Bell, Wheaton and Thomas will start in 2014 if not sooner.
Oddly, but not coincidentally, Jason Worilds, Jonathan Dwyer, Isaac Redman, Emmanuel Sanders and Ryan Clark are all free agents next year. So by default, the Steelers drafted four starters in the first four rounds - barring injury, of course.
Is 2002 the last time that's happened? Discuss.
