Is the Steelers' greatest strength a lack of genuine holes? What one position would seriously improve this year if you added a superstar? FWIW, these are my answers:
OFFENSE: Wide receiver. Add a superstar and our corps would be the best in the league. Without one we range from "okay" to "good," with question marks all the way around. Is AB a real #1 receiver, or just a sensational #2? Will the real Mr. Sanders please stand up (and stay that way without a cane)? Can the rookies contribute, and if so at what level? Does Plax have anything left? Etc.
DEFENSE: Buck Linebacker. No disrespect, but Larry Foote is good because he doesn't make mistakes. A superstar would also make plays. I think that would be a bigger improvement than we'd get from swapping in a proven pass rusher or a dominant lineman.
Of the two, I think a star receiver would make the biggest difference. What are your thoughts? And how much comfort do you take from the lack of positions that show a real weakness?
