Le'Veon Bell injures foot in first quarter of Steelers game vs. Redskins

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

Bell rushed four times for nine yards before his injury.

That was fast. Or slow.

Steelers rookie Le'Veon Bell was injured in the first quarter of the Steelers' preseason game at Washington Monday. ESPN broadcasters said it appeared he was favoring his foot when he left the game after four carries and nine yards.

According to Steelers Digest editor Bob Labriola, Bell did not leave based on the game plan.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown, and the Steelers trail 7-0 in the first quarter.

Needless to say, it's not a good start in Washington.
