Top 100 Plays?

Lists on the NFL Network tend to give the Steelers the short end of the stick. The Steelers were well represented positively and negatively on the list. I had hoped when I saw the "butt fumble" make it that the Ryan Clark popping RGIII on that fly would make it too. There were three offensive plays that I thought were locks. Two made it. The Miller TD vs. Dallas was ranked 44 and the Wallace TD vs. KC was 14. I did not get the see my favorite play of the year. That play was the 51 YD TD by Wallace in the 4th Quarter against the Giants.

Yes there were quite a few long TD’s in 2012, but what made this one so special was the pure speed that Wallace showed on this play. What hurts is I think this play was seen as one of the best Receiving TD’s in 2012 on the NFL network but this play get’s no love on its top 100. You could argue that this was the play that got Wallace paid in this year. How many WR’s in the league could make that play? Most of the time on a play like that you can point to blown coverage, bad angles and good blocking. On this play most of it is about Wallace’s speed. Maybe I am wrong and I missed it on the list but I sure am happy that I did not miss it when it happened last October.
