Shamarko Thomas, when asked if he likes the Sharknado nickname some Steelers fans (BTSC) have begun calling him, gave this answer "No, man, I never heard of that movie, but I did see Twitter, I saw where some fans were calling me that. I guess I'll go along with anything they want, as long as it's positive. Anything to get the excitement up for the fans, I'm all right with that."
He is all right with it, but he don't sound too excited about the prospect of being nick-named after a really weird made for TV movie. He will go along if that is where we really want to go.
Or perhaps we could start calling Shamarko Thomas, Headache, that is what Shamarko Thomas's mates in the back field call him, we learned this when Ike Taylor was questioned on the all important topic of Shamarko Thomas's nick-name.
Copied and pasted from a BTSC post: That headache, Taylor suggests, references two aspects of Thomas: 1) what he will be causing to opponents once he starts playing in the secondary and 2) his persistent questioning of veterans for guidance in his style of play.
"We call him that because a lot of people are going to be catching headaches, or he's going to be catching headaches," Taylor said clarifying the former of the references to Thomas' locker room nickname.
Back to this fan post, I am of the opinion that Taylor was just trying to help a fellow DB out and mis-direct us fans from making a horrible nick-naming mistake.
So what exactly are we to do in these confusing times, let's see if we can get all this resolved through a poll. I personally like Shamarko Thomas' given name and think it is was the coolest name available in this year's draft, but enough of me trying to sway the electorate, time to get to the voting.
Thanks for your participation.
