Ryan Clark thinks James Harrison 'looks horrible' in Cincinnati's uniforms

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Steelers safety Ryan Clark spoke with 93.7 The Fan's Andrew Fillipponi about former Steelers LB James Harrison. The Bengals, Harrison's new employer, host the Steelers in Week 2.

Andrew Fillipponi interviewed Steelers safety Ryan Clark in a piece that aired Tuesday, giving his thoughts on, among other things, former Steelers linebacker James Harrison.

The Steelers take on Harrison, now with the Cincinnati Bengals, Monday. It didn't take Clark long to throw a jab at his former teammate.

"First of all, he looks horrible in those colors," Clark said, clearly joking. "It's not flattering to him at all.

"For me, (facing Harrison) won't be tough. I don't have to face him, I don't have to block him. Our offensive players, they know James, they know the terror he brings to a football field."

Fillipponi asked Clark if Harrison ever gets past the persona in which he's been painted in his career, most recently, on the HBO series "Hard Knocks."

"He just did that for the media, because you guys played into it, he's such a mean, hokie, Deebo-ish from "Friday" kind of guy. He's as fun-loving as all of us. He's a great guy and a great teammate."

Clark did say he wasn't going to talk to him before the game because he didn't want to upset him. So if nothing else, there are times he's not so fun-loving.
