So is it time to finally push it? But wait, before the Cincinnati game of the yesteryear (you know, the one game that was a win or go home) I recall a certain steeler speaking of this proverbial panic button, And how they were pushing it. We all know how that ended (I was there, sitting in that very endzone where that season ending kick went through the uprights). And Now, before this recent game, Ryan Clark said they weren't pushing this button yet and their attitude was staying the same. What is this so called proverbial panic button anyways?!?! Because it sure didnt work last year. I can almost imagine some heavily guarded bright red button that sits in ARII's office, ready to be pushed; changing the dynamics of the entire steeler's season. Is it going to resurrect The Bus from retirement, with the likes of Alan Faneca and Hines Ward? At least maybe instill their winning spirit and work ethic into this young offensive bunch? Is it only after they "push" it, that it means it's time to bare down and go to work? I wish it were that easy. Just a swift fix, that can effortlessly be accomplished. I wish the steelers stop digging this hole they are already finding themselves in. A wish can be just as useless as this "panic button" though. In reality, they can say they're pushing this button all they want, but those are just words without any substance, any action. It's been all words last season, and it's carrying over into this one. Something needs to happen, and someone needs to step up, because this is going to make fall a bit depressing.
