Steelers injury report: Ramon Foster left with a chest injury, did not return

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Kelvin Beachum continued his way around every offensive line position, filling in for the injured Foster.

The absence of Steelers offensive linemen is usually the problem in Pittsburgh. It seems like it's more about who's there instead of who's hurt.

The Steelers found out Sunday when left guard Ramon Foster went down with a chest injury, and did not return. Kelvin Beachum took his place, but shaky protection remained well-intact.

Cornerback Curtis Brown had an illness, forcing him out of the game during the second quarter, but he was able to return for the second half. The Steelers didn't want to be without their fourth cornerback and third or fourth best special teams player, especially when Matt Cassel was completing passes as if he thought he could sucker another team into giving him $50 million like he did with the Chiefs in 2009.

Ben Roethlisberger appeared to have hyperextended the thumb on his throwing hand in the fourth quarter, but he remained in the game.

The Steelers went into the game healthy, and with the exception of Foster, don't appear now to have any major injuries as they get a bye in Week 5.
