You can hear it much louder now.
Boom. Buh Boom. Buh Boom.
Hangman is comin' down from the gallows, and I don't have very long...
The Steelers will begin fulltime practice to prepare for the 2014 season, also known as "training camp" on July 25 at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.
At the same time players are hauling air conditioners and iPads to dorm rooms, we will launch The Renegade, our season preview issue.
The content is beginning to go through the editorial phase and the design team is hard at work to make images that reflect the subject and content of this year's issue.
Without revealing too much, we wanted to provide a sample on what you can expect to see (also known as a "teaser").
- Homer's full feature on the life legacy left by Chuck Noll. Interviews done with former players and Steelers personnel revealed information you haven't read yet on the life of the greatest coach in NFL history.
- The Steelers' draft class is particularly unique for one statistically supported reason. We dive into that reason, unveiling something that should spark some excitement for this season and the future.
- Dale Grdnic goes position-by-position, giving you everything you'll need to know about this year's team.
There are other feature stories, summaries and opinions to be shared, nearly 30 stories in all, all to be released July 25 on Behind The Steel Curtain. So when you wake up on that glorious Friday, one week from today, pay attention to a different layout, and click on The Renegade Hub to get a full look at all we have to offer on the dawn of camp.
We'll cover the regular news of the day as well in what looks to be a really active and fun day. Share in it with us here on BTSC.
