Woodley has left Oakland, apparently, after having met with the Raiders Wednesday.
The Titans, coached by former Steelers Ken Whisenhunt and Ray Horton, are implementing a 3-4 defense, and it has seemed from the start the Titans would be the likely destination of the recently released Woodley.
Woodley's injury history and huge salary cap number made him expendable in Pittsburgh, but over the past three years, Woodley has been an outstanding player in terms of his pressure numbers. The Steelers couldn't afford the risk, considering his salary, and depending on what he will eventually sign for in free agency, could be a great bargain for his next team.
Until those balky hamstrings become problematic again. Or his calf. Or ankle.
