Those are the headlines out of a deal made Sunday in which the Baltimore Ravens sent a fifth round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft to Tampa Bay for center Jeremy Zuttah, an athletic but oftentimes inconsistent center, previously a third round pick from the 2008 draft.
Zuttah has two years remaining on a 4-year, $16 million deal he signed in 2012. He is scheduled to make $4.5 million this season, and part of the report is said the Ravens will re-work Zuttah's contract in some fashion, likely lowering his salary after two subpar seasons.
One aspect that may be appealing to the Ravens is Zuttah's movement in space. He has good lateral speed, which could make him a solid fit in the zone running scheme new offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak is expected to be implementing in Baltimore.
