We all realize this is premature... but we're not playing football in Steeler Nation so let's have some fun with the hope of 2014-2015. Too many shifts will occur between now and the draft, and a few character issues may arise as well. Injuries, surgeries, workouts, etc.will all contribute to changes in the draft.
OUR FIRST PICK
Ra'Shede Hageman (NT) - He's perfect to fill the middle for us in the new NFL. He's long and bats down a lot of passes, very physical so he can eat up blocks and reach out to trip up runners. Requires a double team on the OL from opponents and helps where we need the most help - pass defense. I think he's better than Nix for the new NFL. With Nix, we may have already seen the best he has to offer, but with Hageman, he can put on more weight to become more physical and work on mechanics to improve other aspects of his game. This kid contributes on every down and even on special teams (he gets up and blocks FGs). Hageman is the kind of NT that can contribute AND make game-changing plays for us on defense.
I know everyone wants a left tackle, tight end, or wide receiver at the first pick, but all three of these positions offer us later round steals in this draft. Loads of big wide receivers and if we can't get Jake Matthews at LT, then we have a handful of second-fiddle options. We don't have to reach to the 2nd round like we did for Adams either.
