Mock Draft - Pick Three (if the Steelers get a 3)

3-5 are my favorite rounds this year for getting depth and play makers.

If we get one or possibly two 3 round compensatory picks...

Lache Seastrunk (slim chance that he will be available) He is speedy, tough and durable for a quick RB. If we don't get him, that's OK - we might be able to get Ajayi or Bibbs at 5 or late 4 with a compensatory pick or two. I know everybody is high on these big backs with speed, but watch the tape on the big guys in this draft. They all run with the ball swinging out wide and away from the body. They may have been able to make that work in the NCAA, but in the NFL these kids will be fumble machines and once they rectify the problem (if they ever do), they'll lose the speed that they need to be premier backs. There are no big backs with speed in this draft worth reaching for.

Safety Deonne Bucannon (slim chance that he will be available here) If not, then Anthony Harris. These guys are ball hawks and it's a passing league, so we've gotta snap these guys up if they are available.

CB Terrance Mitchell or Pierre Desir (if he were two years younger, he’d be taken in the 2nd round.)

TE Arthur Lynch - this kid is a young Heath Miller and we need to give Heath someone to mentor up. He blocks through plays until after the whistle or until the guy on the other side of the ball is on the ground or out of bounds. He has great hands and runs after the catch like he's trying to knock down bowling pins. I LOVE this kid!

If we didn't get Kelvin in 2, then we could go after Abbrederis or Jordan Matthews here... Big, smart receivers who can find the pocket in the zone... great for a QB like Ben when a play breaks down. I actually prefer Abbrederis over Jordan Matthews because of his ability to find the soft spot in the zone. He does it over and over again.

Dee Ford or Jeremiah Attaochu - I like Jeremiah because he's just a little bit crazy... he's a lot like Joey Porter. DeMarcus Lawrence would be a great Steeler DE to OLB project if he's ready for Steeler linebacker boot camp.

Or a solid DE with Josh Mauro. He's huge and has great work ethic and nonstop motor.
