Fever's First Mock: All 7 Rounds + Compensatory Picks

First a prioritization of needs: Safety, CB, ILB, WR, DE, NT, TE.

Secondly an explanation on the selection process: A combination of CBS and Walter's Big Board, when I make a pick it will be within a range of +5 or -5 spots from the position the Steelers pick at during that particular round.

In example, if the Steelers select at 15, my choices available are from players ranked 10-20 by either CBS or Walters. If Steelers picked at 150, my selection would be from someone ranked 145 to 155, so on and so forth...

Clear as mud?

Good, then let's get started.

Round 1, pick 15: CJ Mosley ILB, ranked 12 by Walters and 16 by CBS. Steelers find a defensive, franchise QB.

Round 2, pick 14, (46): Louchiez Purifoy CB, ranked 42 by Walters and 69 by CBS. Finally a cover corner to replace Ike, after a year of technique refinement.

Round 3, compensatory, (97ish): Daniel McCullers DT/NT, ranked 99 by Walters and CBS. 6' 7" @ 348 lbs. A huge man who will be playing NT on first and second downs.

Round 4, pick 18, (116ish): Donte Moncrief WR, ranked 101 by Walters and 118 by CBS. 6'3" @ 226 lbs. The Steelers finally draft a big WR, with 4.5 speed.

Round 4, compensatory pick, (132ish): Dion Bailey FS, ranked 51 by Walters and 128 by CBS. Filling a need at FS, with BPA, and another USC Safety.

NOTE: Walters Big Boards stops at pick 131, best I can tell, so we are going with CBS the rest of the way.

Round 5, pick 17, (150ish): Crockett Gilmore TE, ranked 145 by CBS. Good blocker, good hands.

Round 6, pick 17, (185ish): Michael Campanaro WR, ranked 185 by CBS. 5' 10" @ 191 lbs. Campanaro is a smart football player and has an extremely detail-oriented skill-set. Flashes natural hands with excellent focus and tracking ability. Isn't small with a solid build and deceiving strength, displaying some power with a stiff arm after the catch. Savvy pass catcher who works soft spots and is a quarterback's best friend. ALERT: Late round special player.

Round 7, pick 15, (uhm. 219ish): De'Anthony Thomas RB, ranked 218 by CBS. A dual threat running and receiving the ball he will add some spice that Haley has preferred in the past. ALERT: Late round special player.

Now that was fun, gotta do another one after the combine. Tell me what you think, knowing some of the guys I have selected won't be available where I have them on drafting days.
