Draft Bracketology - Finishing with the Fourth

1:15 the Pittsburgh Steelers select ... C.J. Mosley, ILB, Alabama!

2:15 the Pittsburgh Steelers select ... Calvin Pryor, Safety, Louisville!

3:COMP the Pittsburgh Steelers select ... Pierre Desir, CB, Lindenwood!

Insert another roar of approval from Steelers Nation. Pittsburgh loves defense, and we have managed to snag three superb defensive prospects? But what next? This series of Fanposts is going to end after this pick and then restart with pessimistic first round choices. So let’s see what Steelers fans would view as the idea first four picks.

Our pick at 4:15 is just a little more than a dozen picks after we grabbed the young man from Lindenwood. So most of the same names are still on the Board. The exception are the pass rushers. I had all of those names listed with early-3rd round grades. We could dream that one would fall to the end of that round, but not all the way to 4:15. We’ve also lost our shot at Jean-Baptiste, though I’m keeping CB as an option because so many people have talked about double-dipping. That was too good to last as well. So who is left?

How This Will Work – I will list a set of "available" players for each position.* Pick your personal favorite for each one** and assume that he is on the Board. Now go and vote by position at the Poll. When that is done, please go to the Comments and leave your vote at each position.

* As before, I have chosen sets where I think at least one of the prospects should be available at 3:comp. In real life it won't be all of them, but this is a poll to determine who we at BTSC are hoping for.

** At the risk of tooting my own horn, the best one-stop-shop to start looking background is the BTSC Steelers Big Board and its By Position counterpart. Just ignore the ratings because those are in flux and should not bias your selection. The Board presents information and opinions gleaned from BTSC articles and comments,,, and, with links to other pieces around the Web.
