I'm not going to lie.
My first non-Superbowl football game that I watched was the against the Chargers in January 2009. I know, don't look at me! Naturally, being an LA Native, I'm supposed to root for the Chargers. but something about that Black and Yellow caught my eye (and of course, the fellow Half Korean on the team; Hines Ward) and I rode that bandwagon all the way to the Superbowl, where we beat the Cardinals.
Anyways, fastforward, five years, here we are 8-8, and of course between my friends, its to each his own. I got friends that are Niner fans, Bengals fans (I get a good time teasing him about Firecrotch-McThrowPickerton Specialist over there), Charger Fans and Rams fans.
I really want to go to Heinz Field and experience the home crowd over there, but none of my friends want to spend that kind of money (flight, ticket, hotel) for a team that is not their own. My question is, what kind of experience would I get if I went by myself? Has anyone done this before and if so would you recommend it?
Also any advice on places to visit in Pittsburgh? Good places to eat? Anything will help.
