Cleveland Browns possibly leaked their free agency plans in photo at press conference

Maybe they did it on purpose and it doesn't appear to be anything that either hasn't already been reported or is something of a confidential nature, but it is funny to see how basic it appears the board is, complete with the last names of several players Cleveland has already been reported to have targeted.

UPDATE:

That seems plausible, if not a great cover story. Just sayin'...

SB Nation's Cleveland Browns site Tweeted something interesting Wednesday - a possible slip by the Browns' organization in revealing what appears to be something of a priority list of free agents from other NFL teams while conducting a press conference.

General Manager Ray Farmer is on the right, preparing to speak to the media regarding the team's free agent signings, linebacker Karlos Dansby and safety Donte Whitner.

On the board, it appears it has a team name (or nickname followed by the last name of a player. Some names are in brackets, and some are not.

From what we can make out, the left-hand column (which is mostly covered up) it looks like, from top to bottom:

Titans - Verner (crossed out)

Texans - Tate

The rest is blocked by a man on the left, but there are more names after it.

On the right hand side of the board, it reads:

Bucs - Revis

Fins - Carroll

(in brackets) Bills - Moats

Skins - Grossman

Cincy - Hawkins

Pats - Edelman

Clearly, they're referring to former Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner, Texans running back Ben Tate, Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis, Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll, Bills linebacker Arthur Moats, Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman, Cincinnati restricted free agent wide receiver Andrew Hawkins and Patriots WR Julian Edelman.

All of these players are currently free agents, and many are linked to the Browns directly through various reports, particularly Tate. The Browns also released two quarterbacks Wednesday, Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell.

It's so clear on the board and it's in such an obvious spot it really just seems more like a wink from the Browns to the media. If that's the case, good on them, it's funny and inventive, and shows teams get a kick out of the massive amount of coverage given to free agency, not to mention the sheer thrill bits like this give hacks like the one on this site.

If it's a mistake, though, regardless of the depth of this information and what it would provide, it's simply bad form for a franchise that's had, to put it mildly, some fair questions about the quality of leadership already in place.

With the Browns, you legitimately could see there being some kind of way where both options are true.
