The Steelers, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, will conduct their offseason program in three phases.
Phase One includes activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only. This will begin on April 22.
Phase Two includes on-field workouts, and individual player instruction and drills and team practices are permitted. Phase Two runs from May 5-26.
The Steelers' rookie orientation and minicamp is May 16-18, one week after the 2014 NFL Draft.
Phase Three will begin May 27, consisting of 10 individual practice sessions that do not include individual coaching. Live contact is forbidden but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are allowed. The Steelers will conduct their OTAs May 27-29, June 3-5 and June 9-12.
The team's formal minicamp will be held June 17-19.
