I went onto firstpick.com and played the mock game. It is a fun site and lets you make computer offered trades. After a few tries and going in with a plan I produced the following draft. I know they may never happen, but if they did I should be the nee GM. Please remember these are computer offered trades, not made up and players fell just like in real life.
Round 1. Trade pick 15 to MIA for thier 1,2&3 picks. Pick 18 traded to GB for thier 1&2 picks. Just for drop the hammer, the reason I traded twice was I had DD and Gilbert targeted in round 1 they kept falling so I stocked up on picks. Finally pick 21. Justin Gilbert, learn from Ike for a year then replace him.
Round 2. Pick 14 traded to Indy for thier 3,5,6&7 picks. Pick 18 from MIA Hageman DT from Minn. Rebuild the line, rolled the dice and it worked again IMO Steelers have a lot of needs and not enough picks. Pick 22 from Pack, CJ Mosley couldnt believe he fell this far but what a great pick.
Round 3, pick 17 from MIA Dion Baliey FS USC, we need depth and get younger overall on D. Pick 26 from Indy Travis Swanson C Ark, I am not sold on Pouncey long term or staying healthy.
Round 4, Anthony Johnson DT LSU, see comment above we need to get younger, bigger and stronger on the line.
Round 5 pick 17, Devin Street, all around good football player and he is bigger. Pick 26 from Indy James White RB Wisc, impressed me in the senior bowl lots of tread on his tires. Could be a very good backup.
Round 6, Kevin Norwood WR Bama, another young tall and fast WR for Ben. Pick 27 from Indy Michael Sam DE Mizzo, maybe some distractions but he made a lot of plays.
Round 7 Calvin Barnett DT Okl St, 3 DL in one draft yep sure did this is the key to the D need to retool it and build aroj d Heyward. Pick 17 from Indy Conor Shaw QB SC, may not be the best QB but he is a leader and smart. When the old ball coach calls you a ball player. I want that guy on my team, plus we dont have a back up set in stone.
I would love if this really happened, what do you yinz think.
