I see more talk about trading down. I am pretty sure that will not happen, why? - too many weak teams desperate for a QB. This pushes starter talent down in the draft. The only way that I could see the Steelers trading down on their first round pick is if only one QB is taken before 15. They may make trades in the mid-rounds, but I don't see them doing that in the first or second round.
Targets - we can all agree that the main first round targets are: big wide receiver and corner. It is possible that another positional pearl will drop to us - someone like Matthews, Ebron or Barr. It is also very likely that Detroit will take a CB. If they do, then we'll be forced to take 2nd place on the CB lottery. I still think our choices are good at CB. The big WR depth in this draft is phenomenal, so I'd love to see how Moye works out - and pick one more in later rounds.
The most likely scenario brings us Dennard or Gilbert as the wisest option. But... it is the draft, and everything can change with one unanticipated move by another team.
