Indiana University coach Tom Crean mocks brother-in-law John Harbaugh for his hat choice

Thomas J. Russo-USA TODAY Sports

Crean, Indiana's head basketball coach, offered a fair and appropriate punishment to his brother-in-law, Ravens coach John Harbaugh, for wearing a Michigan State hat at the NCAA basketball tournament this weekend.

Indiana University basketball coach Tom Crean isn't messing around.

After noticing his brother-in-law, Ravens coach John Harbaugh, was wearing a Michigan State Spartans hat - a key rival of Crean's Hoosiers in the Big 10 - he informed his 137,000 Twitter followers he would be buying a Steelers or a Patriots hat as payback.

May we recommend a Steelers hat, Coach? Indiana University gave the Steelers Antwaan Randle El, a fan favorite and key member of the Steelers' Super Bowl XL championship. His touchdown pass to fellow wide receiver Hines Ward on a gadget play sealed the victory, and will go down as one of the more exciting plays you'll see in a Super Bowl.

That, and Patriots coach Bill Belichick was spotted wearing a Florida visor when the Gators dispatched Pitt in the NCAA tournament. So wearing a Patriots hat is almost as bad as what Harbaugh did.
