The New NFL

With the draft coming up in 20 or so day, it seems everyone and their brother has a mock draft that they stand by. Most of these mocks have the Steelers taking a CB. Any and everytime another position is considered people seem to loose their minds? Why is that? I 'm a firm believer that the landscape of the NFL has changed from the 21-17 type of game to something along the lines of 33-31. Why do we in Steeler nation seem, as a whole, to be so resistant to this? Goodell has sold our football souls down the dreaded 'fantasy football' river. So what are we to do? I firmly believe that the Steelers have tried to buck the trend the last 4-5 years. What has that gotten us? A SB loss, a Denver playoff loss and back to back 8-8 seasons. The front office is finally seeing the light! They seem to understand that having an offense that can score more than 20 ppg and a defense that can come up with stops is the way to go. That being said, I think that us fans need to get on that bandwagon. If the front office takes an offensive player at #15, we should all rejoice!!! Gone are the days of defense shutting down an offense every game....yeah yeah, every now and then you'll have a game like Seattle vs Denver but those are few and far between. If said team scores 24, we need to be able to score 25. i say grab the best offensive threat at #15 and in the 2nd round. There are several really good defensive guys we can grab after that. What do you think?
