Most everyone was excited when it was announced that we were to keep Jason Worilds for the 2014-2015 season. The original price tag on the transition tag of $9-and-some-odd million seemed high, but we were going to extend it to free up cap space and keep around longer....Right? Well the bulk of the free agency - or the exciting part at least, has passed and no restructure has happened.
Forgive me if I seem skeptical, but what could their reason possibly be for holding off on this deal. There will be a deal, right? If it keeps him around longer while reducing this years cap hit and allowing us to do more in FA, then why wait. I don't understand.
I haven't really heard anyone discuss this much lately either. Did I miss something or is something weird here? I could have just missed something, but I am on this site every day when I wake up reading.
If someone could let me know that would be great!
