The Raiders Might Want to Trade Down: Should The Steelers Move Up to Five?

This from SI.com, March 24th:

2014 NFL draft rumors: Oakland Raiders have ‘massive crush’ on Derek Carr

The Raiders are quite smitten with Derek Carr, according to David White of The Fresno Bee, who reports that Oakland has a "massive crush" on the Fresno State quarterback.

The Raiders are not expected to select Carr with the No. 5 overall pick. Instead, they may attempt to trade back in the first round and land Carr further down.

Now this is interesting. Would the Steelers entertain the idea of trading up to get their man in either Mike Evans/Sammy Watkins or Khalil Mack/Anthony Barr?

Dont forget, in last year's draft, the Raiders traded down from the 3rd spot with the Dolphins in exchange for the 12th and 42nd pick. The Steelers hold the 15th and 46th pick, which is similar compensation for a similar pick.

So if the opportunity were there, should the Steelers give up their 1st & 2nd picks to move up to #5?

Considering the Steelers basically throw away their 2nd round pick every year anyway (I'm kidding...sort of.) its worth thinking about.

Then the question is, if Watkins, Evans, Mack and Barr are all available at 5, who would you pick?

Having Antonio Brown & Mike Evans/Sammy Watkins would rival any WR duo in the NFL, but then again, the opportunity to draft a dominant edge rusher is hard to pass up on.
